Hey gamers,
Although a lot of games were released this week, there sadly hasn’t been much to play.
Spec Ops: The Line is a crappy Gears of War at most. It is a completely linear game with a bunch of cut scenes we don’t care about. I honestly haven’t played a game with less of a premise in a while. It’s amazing that some guy had the idea to make a game in post apocalyptic Dubai not concerning any story line then just like that, 10 million dollars later, it was a full fledged multi-platform release with a story line as in depth as a B rated horror movie.
So does it make up for it in gameplay? Of coarse not. It’s idiotically easy with a strong hint of repetitiveness. One good thing about this game is that it has no easily noticeable glitches. But who’s really concerned with glitches when a game is this pointless.
If you strongly disagree please let me know what i’m missing. I’ve played this exact game 1,000 times since 2003 and it came out 4 days ago.
Get it or Skip it?
Do I really need to say it? Skip it. I would pay $2.99 max for this game.

After playing this, Ghost Recon looks like game of the year.
You actually completely missed the point of this game. Yeah, there’s the shooting gameplay, but the story and the choices that you make really make the game shine. I’d much rather play games like this one, where story actually matters, than play any COD clone (or COD itself).
For me, if the gameplay isn’t up to par, then everything else suffers. I agree that they do a good job of making your choices effect the story, but with an underdeveloped story I guess I simply didn’t care.
