I recently came across a mod that really changed the game quite literally for me.

The Superb ENB mod changes the look of skyrim to make it look as real as possible. I could go into detail but thats really all you need to know. The fog is foggier, and the nights are darker. The dark nights being the most appearent and changing the play style a bit. You actually need your light spells now and I would highly advize not traveling at night. You’ll find yourself in places you don’t want to be unless you cheat or are very leveled up.

Let me start off by saying if you know nothing about Skyrim tweaking this will all be jiberish to you.

Anyways, for those of you with beefed up computers that have been messing with .ini tweaks, this is a big FYI.

Ever since Skyrim update 1.3, anyone who has tried reverting their uGrid back to 5 from a higher value following the comfirmed manual here (scroll all the way down), has had the same problem. The skyrim menu logo and loading screen turn red and the game crashes during the load-up.

To fix the loading screen discoloration, just go to your Skyrim/data file and type .ini in the search bar, then delete whatever .ini file comes up no matter what it’s named (it is not whatever it appears to be labeled as.)

As for the save file, there is no confirmed fix… if I find one i’ll let you know asap.

Havn’t played Skyrim in a while? Here’s a reason to go back…

This new Skyrim Monster mod adds over 100 new creatures and monsters to the game, as well as tweaking the look of creatures that already exist.

Personally, I put so many hours into Skyrim that I ended up getting sick of running into the same enemy. Which is completely natural for any game you play for over 100  hours (… yeah I know… I have no life.) This mod completely fixes that. This new mod adds a whole nother level and a whole nother reason to spend even more hours locked away in the world of Skyrim. With new creatures to discover with entirely new AI, the fighting is spiced up a lot. Even though Diablo III just came out, I have to say that this mod has put Skyrim first on my list of go-to games yet again.

Thought I’d bring attention to yet another awesome skyrim mod. Not that skyrim isn’t beautiful enough, this mod just adds a few more breathtaking moments to an already breathtaking game.

The Water and Texture Enhancement Redux is the name of this mod and what it basically does is improves the overall look of all water effect in a big way. Including the textures of the rocks, sand, etc.

I just discovered a new mod that adds yet another touch of realism to skyrim in the sickest way… and i literally mean sick.

The Skyrim Crimson Tide mod adds the most realistic blood effects I’ve ever seen. It’s honestly a little too real. You may actually find yourself feeling bad about killing hundreds of people. And if not, I suggest seeing a psychiatris.

In the past few months following Skyrims release, I’ve recieved a lot of questions about which Skyrim mods are truly worth it, and which ones to avoid. So today I’m posting my top 5 favorite mods, and my top 5 mods to avoid.

#5: Realistic Smoke and Embers – This mod speaks for itself. It greatly improves the effects of fire, smoke, and embers in the game with little to no extra pc usage. It makes for just a few more of thoes awe-inspiring moments that skyrim loves to throw in your face.

#4: FXAA Post Process Injector – For Mid to Low end computer gamers this is a mod that will interest you. This mod makes Skyrim look a lot prettier wihtout frying your computer. However, I wouldnt suggest this for High end users especially if you are into tweaking graphics as this will have an adverse effect to what you want to accomplish.

#3: Sky UI – As most skyrim players have realised the design of the User Interface isn’t the best. Luckilly this mod fixes this, making it much easier to move around and find items and spells.

#2: Midas Magic – This new (and in my opinion completely necessary) mod adds over 50 new spells all of which are more mind blowing than the next. Honestly, what better way to kill your enemies than calling down a meteor shower and watching your opponents burn in magical fury?

(Oh and this is mainly for high-end pc users) From the very first time I picked up a contoller and played a video game I have been waiting for a game to do exactly what this mod allows… truly life like textures. No more looking at a pixelly mush whenever you get up close to a texture. This mod increases the quality of the textures so much that you simply won’t be able to go back to normal Skyrim once you’ve tried this out. Enough said.
